Here are some updates on Turbo Tutoring and the state of the College Board’s SAT testing options. Please realize that the nature of this pandemic situation causes things to be in a constant state of flux. While the CB and various local school systems publish numerous plans for our return-to-school, nothing is concrete. We appreciate your patience during this time and will continue to do our best to support your students.
The College Board is planning to administer SAT tests every month from August to December. A September date was added as an accommodation for the many kids who couldn’t take the test in the spring. If schools are still not open in the fall, the CB will provide an online version of the SAT. No details on that were provided.
At this time, as Virginia moves into Phase III, our schools are slowly beginning to open back up for public use. Dan was in contact with some of our local school contacts this week and as of now we are planning to resume our in-person Turbo Tutoring seminars in the late summer, prior to the August 29th SAT. Because of social distancing guidelines and our respect for the health concerns of our students, we will hold our classes at significantly reduced capacity. In order to accommodate those who wish to take part, we will simply hold additional seminar dates leading up to the test. We are also still offering Zoom tutoring options for those families less comfortable with in-person classes. Hopefully we will continue to serve your test prep needs in the best and safest way possible.
Thank you for your patience during what is a very uncertain time. Please take care of yourselves. We hope to see you soon.
